This workshop will introduce landowners to a wide array of opportunities for creating additional income streams on their small woodlands.

This one-day workshop at Hopkins Tree Farm will introduce landowners to a series of strategies and tools for maximizing the economic potential of conservation-based forest management.  Speakers from companies and organizations in the Northwest that specialize in small woodland management, markets, and other incentive programs will provide thorough overviews of each strategy.

Topics will include:

  • Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification and markets
  • Forestry based carbon offset programs
  • Small-scale processing and direct sales
  • Working forest conservation easements
  • Financial assistance programs

Preregistration for this workshop is required as space is limited. For more information or to register, contact Cindy Kolomechuk at cindy.kolomechuk@or.nacdnet.net or 503-656-3499.
