The Cascadia Region Green Building Council's Seattle Branch will be hosting a summer solstice FSC forestry and manufacturer field tour, led by NNRG staff.
This field tour of FSC forests, manufacturing facilities, and distributors is being hosted by Cascadia Region Green Building Council's Seattle Branch to help members understand the difference that purchasing FSC certified products makes in the management of forest ecosystems, as well as address the complexities of sourcing products in the still emerging FSC market.
Tour sites will include publicly owned forests that demonstrate the full continuum of harvest intensity allowed under FSC standards; a family owned sawmill, and committed FSC distributors in the greater Seattle area.
