NNRG Adds to Board of Directors
NNRG says hello to new board members and thanks to those departing
As a continually evolving organization NNRG has had several changes to our Board of Directors recently. We are proud to welcome two recently appointed members and are grateful for the time and support offered over the years from three departing members. Without their leadership and oversight, NNRG would not be possible. For current board bios see: Staff and Board
Below is a recap of changes:
New Board members include:
- David Troutt, Natural Resource Director for the Nisqually Tribe, Olympia
- Jon Kaplan, Retired, Port Townsend
Departing Board members include:
- Former Board President Chris Robbins, who will continue his conservation work in Austin, TX
- Former Secretary and ten year Board veteran Heidi Siegelbaum, who had put in her time and then some
- Michael Rylko of EPA Region 10, who is just too darned busy but promises to continue in an advisory role
- Mike Broili of Living Systems Design, who is likewise dealing with the good problem of too many clients
New Board officers include:
- President - Allen Lebovitz, Willapa Land & Dendrology
- Secretary - Michele Zukerberg, Washington Natural Areas Program
Finally, we'd like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of former Board member Chris Stafford of Port Townsend, who recently passed away. Chris was one of the pioneers of the green building movement, helping found the American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment, co-founded and led the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild, and participated in the greening of the White House. He was also one of the most graceful and giving people we've ever known.
