NNRG Announces New Oregon Workshop Series

Thanks to a grant from the Western Center for Risk Management, NNRG will be providing workshops in Oregon.

RME logoWith the support of a Risk Management Education grant from the Western Center for Risk Management, NNRG is pleased to announce our first full workshop series in Oregon.  As part of our five year strategic plan, NNRG is expanding our geographic reach to support small forest landowners in Oregon, who face many of the same issues as Washington landowners.

NNRG has been working with landowners and partners in Oregon for many years, Sustainable Northwest's Healthy Forests Healthy Communities Partnership in particular, but this series represents a new level of commitment to NNRG's presence in the state.

Four workshops will be held between December of this year and June of 2009 - two focused on diversifying income, one on inventorying and monitoring, and one on carbon project verification.  Landowners attending workshops can also receive individual consultations on how to implement the strategies discussed.  Stay tuned for specific dates and times as well as other exciting developments related to the expansion of the Northwest Certified Forestry program into Oregon.
