Preferred Provider Program Launched
Northwest Certified Forestry has launched a new Preferred Provider program for forestry service professionals
Fred Sperry, a consulting forester from Eugene, Oregon and principle of Sperry Ridge Natural Resource Management, has the distinguished honor of being the first successful applicant to Northwest Certified Forestry's new Preferred Provider Program.
To be successful in FSC markets, carbon sales, or selling a conservation easement, small forest landowners stand to benefit by being able to quickly access qualified professionals. The Preferred Provider Program provides landowners with quick and easy access to service providers that have been endorsed by NNRG through a rigorous vetting process. Since NNRG's services focus on certification, market development and education, having a broad range of qualified foresters, loggers, and other professionals is critical to our members' success.
While this first round of endorsements focuses on consulting foresters, staff will be adding loggers, biologists, and other specialties over time.
Sperry Ridge offers a full range of forestry services including inventory, restoration, woodland management, analysis, and real estate services.
Two other foresters are part of this first round of endorsements:
- Earl Kong of Foresttech in Port Townsend, Washington who focuses on timber cruising and appraisals, timber harvest management, forest management planning, forest road construction, and permitting.
- Don Theoe of Woodland Forestry Consultants in Lakewood, Washington who focuses on forest stewardship plan development, forest management consulting, timber marking, and danger tree assessment.
