SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR ECOLOGICAL FORESTRY

JOIN NNRG’S APRIL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN – MAKE A GIFT!

NNRG is championing the practice of ecological forestry all over the Pacific Northwest.

When you give to a small — but mighty! — organization like NNRG, your gift goes a long way.

Donate to NNRG

Your contribution this April will help us spread ecological forest management to more forests in the Pacific Northwest. This approach means that more forests are thinned instead of clearcut at a young age — and dense, former plantation forests are stewarded in a way that makes them less vulnerable to drought, fire, pests, and disease. Ecologically managed forests are more biodiverse and provide better habitat for wildlife.

We appreciate donations in whatever amount works for you. Supporters will receive custom gifts designed by NNRG staff.

Your donation this year will help us:

  • Partner with youth camps, like Camp Waskowitz in the Snoqualmie watershed, to develop educational programs about ecological forestry for elementary and middle school-aged kids.
  • Bring the climate resilience education we’ve honed in San Juan County to forest landowners other parts of Washington, like Jefferson, Pierce, Kitsap, and Snohomish counties.
  • Offer training and support for landowners who want to apply to government assistance programs, like EQIP, to help fund their stewardship projects.
  • Host monthly virtual fireside chats that are a venue for northwest forest owners to discuss topics of interest with fellow landowners and learn from experts in each topic.
  • Write a book on ecological forestry. Co-authored by NNRG’s Executive Director Seth Zuckerman and Director of Forestry Kirk Hanson, and published by Mountaineers Books, the book will be a “how-to” manual for forest owners that teaches them to notice the natural qualities of their land, decide how to care for it, and roll up their sleeves to keep it healthy for the next generation. The anticipated publication date is Spring 2024.
